Mission Statement

On March 28, 2026, San Diegans from every neighborhood, background, and generation will come together — peacefully and powerfully — to affirm our shared commitment to democracy, constitutional government, and the rule of law.

WE STAND UNITED

  • To declare a fundamental American principle: in the United States, there are no kings. Political power belongs to the people.
  • To defend our democracy. Free and fair elections, equal justice under law, and accountable institutions are essential to a free society.
  • For human dignity and civil rights for all people, regardless of race, religion, origin, gender, belief, or immigration status. We believe democracy requires participation, and that peaceful protest and civic engagement are vital expressions of freedom.

WE REJECT

  • Authoritarianism, political violence, unauthorized wars, intimidation, and the use of fear or division to weaken our communities or democratic norms.
  • An economy and political system that concentrates wealth and power at the very top while leaving millions behind.

This march is grounded in nonviolent action, mutual respect, and solidarity across differences. We gather peacefully, look out for one another, and act with responsibility and care for our community.

Together, we reaffirm a simple democratic truth: there are no kings in America. Power flows from the people.

San Diego stands united — now and for generations to come.
