Interreligious procession to honor the dignity and sacredness of migrants and refugees

Bishop Pham has called on clergy, religious, and non-denominational leaders to stand together in solidarity with those who have fled war, persecution, and hardship.

“As shepherd of this Diocese here at the border, I have been feeling an increased urgency to call people of faith around values that unite us: all human beings are sacred, no matter where we are born, or where we now live. Too often we let politics divide us and take away our faith-inspired values and our voice. I invite you to walk with me behind a banner that will read something we all know to be true: ‘All are Sacred’.

What would it be like to have 20,000 people of faith all standing and praying with and for our immigrant brothers and sisters? Wouldn’t you like to be part of our group that day? Please join us!”

  • The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) provides easy access from downtown and Mission Valley. Maps and Routes;
  • Review the times for Route 120, Route 7, and Route 215, the main bus routes that serve Balboa Park.
  • The Blue and Green Line Trolley stop (Middletown Station) is about a 22-minute walk or a quick connection away.
• Rideshare note: For Uber/Lyft, set your drop-off location to [Balboa Park: 6th Ave. and Spruce St.] for the easiest access.
• Parking Indications:
